Strategic Guidance & Conflict Resolution

Our team was invited to support a national NGO navigating a challenging period. They sought guidance on repairing relationships, strengthening systems, and building a more inclusive workplace culture.

What we did

We delivered a multi-layered support process that included:

Reconciliation & Mediation

    • Facilitated reconciliation meetings between staff, leadership, and the board.

    • Created safe spaces for collective healing and acknowledgement of harm caused by racism, discrimination, and communication breakdowns.

Consultation & Assessment

    • Met with staff, board, and leadership to understand concerns.

    • Reviewed policies, reports, and organisational documents to identify systemic issues.

    • Produced a comprehensive recommendations report.

Workshops & Training

    • Ran tailored workshops for Māori, BIPOC, and Pākehā staff on allyship, responses to racism, and positionality.

    • Facilitated whole-organisation sessions focused on cohesion, trust, and accountability.

Ongoing Capacity Building & Policy Review Recommendations

    • Identified current gaps and advised on strengthening policies to ensure transparency and cultural safety.

    • Completed an assessment of governance and operational capability and made strategic short-term and long-term recommendations.
